The latest installment of the Iron Chef Challenge brought Chefs Pablo and Jeff to Centre Kitchen. Their offerings took us on a tour South of the Border for some authentic Latin cuisine and libations. The first pairing of the contest to offer an assortment of pan dulce indicating to the Staff that the gloves were off for Kitchen Champion. The Lunch offering brought forth a bountiful spread of starters which included Ceviche, Guacamole and Salsa all complimented with top shelf margaritas. All of this led up to the main entrée of Tortas Ahogadas. The Carnitas meat was so tender and the flavor profile was on point. If that wasn’t enough, the chefs kept it authentic and offered up Choco Tacos (store bought) for dessert.
After an in-depth review, the scores are in and the Judges have spoken. Chef’s Jeff and Pablo receive a 9.275 for their efforts. It was the lack of a side dish which docked their score. Thanks for the tremendous spread Chefs.
Next up in Centre Kitchen are Alex and Brittany. Should prove interesting.
